Custom Jean Order — Terms & Conditions

1. Overview

These Terms & Conditions govern all custom jean transformation orders (“Custom Order(s)”) placed through Boneyard Star (“BS,” “we,” “us”). By submitting a Custom Order and deposit, the customer (“you”) agrees to these terms in full.

2. Pricing & Deposit

• Custom Orders start at a base rate of $650 total.
• A non-refundable deposit of $250 is due at checkout to begin your order.
• The remaining balance of $400 is due at final invoice, after your design review and before your jeans are shipped back to you.
• Designers are given full artistic license. Any modification requests made during the design review process will incur fees beyond the $650 base rate.

3. Order & Shipping Process

• After your deposit is received, we’ll email you a prepaid shipping label to send us your jeans.
• Your jeans must be received within 14 days of your deposit date. If they have not arrived by then, your order may be cancelled and the deposit forfeited.
• Once we receive your jeans, we’ll confirm receipt with photos of their condition and give you a projected completion date. Typical completion is 6–8 weeks from the date we receive your jeans.
• We’ll design and pin your customization, then send photos for your review. We finalize and complete your jeans within 7 days of your design photos being sent.
• Any change requests must be received within 48 hours of your design photos being sent. If no changes are requested, we will complete the design as pinned. All design changes will result in additional fees.
• After final payment, we’ll ship your finished jeans to your confirmed delivery address and send you tracking details.

4. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your Custom Order at any point before design work begins, subject to the following:

• Before mailing your jeans to us: Cancel any time. Your $250 deposit is non-refundable and will not be returned.
• If your jeans are not received within 14 days of your deposit: your order may be cancelled by BS and the deposit is forfeited.
• After we receive your jeans, but before customization (pinning/design) begins: You may still cancel. Your jeans will be returned to you unaltered, but you’re responsible for return shipping costs and any time/materials already used, which will be invoiced and must be paid before your jeans are shipped back.
• Once customization has begun: Orders can no longer be cancelled. Final payment is required to complete and release your jeans.
• Design change requests are not the same as a cancellation — see Section 5 for how changes are handled.

5. Design Changes & Additional Fees

• Your design is finalized and pinned based on the details provided in your order form.
• If you request changes within 48 hours of your design photos being sent, all design changes will result in additional fees. We’ll confirm the fee amount with you in writing before any extra work begins.
• Additional fees are added to your final invoice and due alongside your final payment.
• Full payment is due within 7 days of your final invoice notification.
• If full payment is not received within 7 days, your deposit will be forfeited and the jeans will be released onto the website for public availability to purchase.

6. Refund Policy

• All payments (deposit and final payment) are non-refundable once made.
• If you request your jeans be returned without customization, no refund will be issued, and you are responsible for all associated time, materials, and shipping costs.
• We do not offer refunds or exchanges for completed custom work, as each piece is considered fashion art made to your requested specifications.

7. Carrier Liability

Once a package has been handed off to a shipping carrier — whether inbound to BS or outbound to you — delivery is in the carrier’s hands, and Boneyard Star is not responsible for carrier delays, loss, or damage in transit. Claims for lost or damaged packages must be pursued with the carrier. We recommend keeping your drop-off receipt when sending your jeans to us.

8. Timeline & Delays

Typical completion is 6–8 weeks from the date we receive your jeans. Projected completion dates are estimates. BS is not responsible for delays caused by:

• Customer delays in shipping jeans to us
• Customer delays in responding to design review communications
• Carrier issues, including lost or delayed shipments

9. Marketing & Media Release

By placing a Custom Order, you grant Boneyard Star permission to photograph and video your jeans and the transformation process — including before, in-progress, and finished images — and to use that media for marketing purposes, including on our website, social media channels, and promotional materials. We will not share your personal information alongside this media, and we will only tag or identify you with your separate consent.

10. Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback instead of contacting us directly is a violation of these Terms. To protect both parties, BS documents each order with condition photos at receipt, timestamped design review communications, and written confirmation of any additional fees prior to invoicing. This documentation will be submitted as evidence in the event of a chargeback dispute.

11. Agreement

By submitting your Custom Order and deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions in full, including the cancellation and refund policies described above.
